<p class="has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Shepherd Joseph</strong></p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">CAMP DAY 2 (Morning Service)</h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Worry is a state of mind that arises in impossible situations and is usually accompanied by fear. Both believers and unbelievers face worries, but our response is what sets us apart. God is not ignorant of our worries; He encourages us to be still, as He told the Israelites in <strong>Exodus 14:14.</strong> He desires to free us from worry and to guide us into a new dimension where we agree with the heavens [through the access we now have as a result of the Cross, into His presence (see <strong>Matthew 27:51)</strong>] and move according to His Word. Christ&#8217;s death on the Cross has also brought us victory through salvation, equipping us to combat worry. There was a shape that we had and lost but through Christ’s redemption, we&#8217;ve been brought to the new shape. This understanding reveals God&#8217;s power to help us overcome our worries, allowing us to achieve the victory already available by faith.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">As believers, we focus not on the problem but on the God who can help us through it. Hence, to live a worry-free life, we must know who God is. He is good and His goodness is inherent to His nature; it is not merely based on His actions. Focused on our circumstances, many of us struggle to grasp His goodness, leading to doubt. When we don’t understand God’s hand in our difficulties, we must seek His heart—to remember that He is love—to shift our perspective.</p>
</div></div>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">We also often forget His past faithfulness—an ignorance which the enemy uses to distract us from coming to God with our worries. In <strong>Revelation 4:8-11</strong>, the 24 elders worship God, proclaiming, &#8220;Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty.&#8221; This worship refocuses them on God, and if we too focus on worshipping God, this will dispel worry; our problems diminish and He is magnified. The world needs children of God who truly know Him so they can shift things wherever they go!</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<div class="wp-block-media-text is-stacked-on-mobile"><figure class="wp-block-media-text__media"><img decoding="async" width="1080" height="1350" src="https://www.braamfamily.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Green-Grainy-Photocentric-Top-Sustainable-Business-Trends-for-2025-–-A-Must_20251001_164426_0008.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-5543 size-full" srcset="https://www.braamfamily.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Green-Grainy-Photocentric-Top-Sustainable-Business-Trends-for-2025-–-A-Must_20251001_164426_0008.jpg 1080w, https://www.braamfamily.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Green-Grainy-Photocentric-Top-Sustainable-Business-Trends-for-2025-–-A-Must_20251001_164426_0008-744x930.jpg 744w, https://www.braamfamily.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Green-Grainy-Photocentric-Top-Sustainable-Business-Trends-for-2025-–-A-Must_20251001_164426_0008-420x525.jpg 420w, https://www.braamfamily.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Green-Grainy-Photocentric-Top-Sustainable-Business-Trends-for-2025-–-A-Must_20251001_164426_0008-768x960.jpg 768w, https://www.braamfamily.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Green-Grainy-Photocentric-Top-Sustainable-Business-Trends-for-2025-–-A-Must_20251001_164426_0008-585x731.jpg 585w, https://www.braamfamily.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Green-Grainy-Photocentric-Top-Sustainable-Business-Trends-for-2025-–-A-Must_20251001_164426_0008-600x750.jpg 600w" sizes="(max-width: 1080px) 100vw, 1080px" /></figure><div class="wp-block-media-text__content">
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">When we walk in worry, we tend to <strong>create our own blessings</strong>. In <strong>Genesis 16:1-3</strong>, God promised Abraham that he would become the father of many nations, but because he and Sarah were ageing, they were led to take matters into their own hands. Sometimes we too find ourselves in similar situations, ultimately wanting to take control, indicating how much we can be control freaks. We must understand that when God speaks a Word, it does not return to Him without fulfilling its purpose.</p>
</div></div>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">We also often <strong>respond without being led by God.</strong> In<strong> 1 Kings 18-1:4</strong>, we see how Elijah ran away in response to the threat Jezebel had made to do to him what he had done to the Baal prophets. A person who walks in worry is led by their fears, which shows that we are not being led by God. This is dangerous because God directs us to see beyond our problems and without His leadership, we won&#8217;t see beyond and we will end up falling.</p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph">Mama Believe Hamuli</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">CAMP DAY 3 (Tuesday Evening)</h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The world often quotes the saying, ‘God helps those who help themselves,’ implying that God needs our assistance to accomplish His purposes. However, Scripture teaches us that true spiritual maturity is demonstrated by increasing our dependence on God. This mirrors what Jesus said in Matthew 18:1-4 about being like children, who are forever dependent on their Father.</p>

<div class="wp-block-media-text is-stacked-on-mobile"><figure class="wp-block-media-text__media"><img decoding="async" width="1080" height="1350" src="https://www.braamfamily.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/3.png" alt="" class="wp-image-5224 size-full" srcset="https://www.braamfamily.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/3.png 1080w, https://www.braamfamily.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/3-744x930.png 744w, https://www.braamfamily.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/3-420x525.png 420w, https://www.braamfamily.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/3-768x960.png 768w, https://www.braamfamily.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/3-585x731.png 585w, https://www.braamfamily.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/3-600x750.png 600w" sizes="(max-width: 1080px) 100vw, 1080px" /></figure><div class="wp-block-media-text__content">
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In the book of Luke 10:38–42, we see the story of Mary and Martha. While Martha busied herself with service, Mary chose to sit at Jesus’ feet, prioritising communion with Him. We often read the story thinking we have to either be Martha or Mary. Yet we are called to do both. The point Jesus highlighted&nbsp; is that while our service may be well-meaning, it can become a distraction if it is not aligned to what God desires from us in that moment. Our service must be guided by intimacy with Christ. Martha’s service, though admiral in appearance, became a source of anxiety, pulling her focus away from Jesus and even causing her to question His care. Let our service be at the right place and at the right time!</p>
</div></div>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">True surrender is letting go of control and prioritising God’s Will over our own efforts. We struggle to let go because, like Martha, we seek validation through our service, having misplaced priorities instead of seeking first the Kingdom as stated in Matthew 6:33. We become distracted, or perhaps we don’t fully know the One to whom we are letting go to. How can God take control in areas where we are still holding onto control? Letting go is not about being idle but about trusting God to guide us through consistent prayer (see Philippians 4:6-7), leaving our burdens at the feet of Jesus (see 1 Peter 5:7), meditating on His Word, staying in environments that boost our faith and shifting our focus to what is eternal.</p>

<div class="wp-block-media-text is-stacked-on-mobile"><figure class="wp-block-media-text__media"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1080" height="1350" src="https://www.braamfamily.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/7-1.png" alt="" class="wp-image-5228 size-full" srcset="https://www.braamfamily.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/7-1.png 1080w, https://www.braamfamily.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/7-1-744x930.png 744w, https://www.braamfamily.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/7-1-420x525.png 420w, https://www.braamfamily.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/7-1-768x960.png 768w, https://www.braamfamily.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/7-1-585x731.png 585w, https://www.braamfamily.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/7-1-600x750.png 600w" sizes="(max-width: 1080px) 100vw, 1080px" /></figure><div class="wp-block-media-text__content">
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Why should you let go? When you release your burdens, new opportunities begin to unfold. On your own, your abilities are limited, and so through surrender, we discover that God, not our efforts, is the source of our strength. Letting go frees you from the weight on your shoulders, allowing you to worship—living a life in total surrender to God—and serve God (see Exodus 7:16). This doesn&#8217;t mean embracing laziness; rather, God calls us to be active in our faith.</p>
</div></div>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">By letting go and adopting the posture of Mary—being in His presence—you receive clear instructions. We often seek rest in our own ways, but as Psalm 91:1 reminds us, true rest is found in Him. Are you sitting in humility like Mary, or are you standing in the busyness like Martha? Surrendering to Jesus means trusting Him with your journey, as He knows the path ahead, bringing us great peace because He will always lead us in the right direction.</p>

<div class="wp-block-media-text is-stacked-on-mobile"><figure class="wp-block-media-text__media"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1080" height="1350" src="https://www.braamfamily.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/13.png" alt="" class="wp-image-5229 size-full" srcset="https://www.braamfamily.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/13.png 1080w, https://www.braamfamily.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/13-744x930.png 744w, https://www.braamfamily.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/13-420x525.png 420w, https://www.braamfamily.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/13-768x960.png 768w, https://www.braamfamily.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/13-585x731.png 585w, https://www.braamfamily.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/13-600x750.png 600w" sizes="(max-width: 1080px) 100vw, 1080px" /></figure><div class="wp-block-media-text__content">
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Unlike Uber, His prices are fixed. Unlike Bolt, your safety is certain. Unlike a taxi, He never breaks down. Unlike InDriver, you&#8217;ll always find Him. Unlike Google, He will take you straight. Better than WazeSZ, He is the Way! Travelling through life on your own terms will always end in a crash. So when you let go, you will not be unsupported and fall into the air; you are already in His hands! Let the vehicle of your life be led by Jesus Christ!!</p>
